TOFU TRUFFLES

INGREDIENTS FOR 20 TRUFFLES

-300g dark chocolate *if you use a block, chop up coarsely
-150g Silken Tofu
-OPTIONAL: 1 1/2 tsp flavoring of your choice (rum, vanilla, almond, coconut)

-Cocoa Powder

-Shredded Coconut 

-Crushed nuts of your choice

METHOD

-Melt the dark chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. 

-Drain silken tofu water, pressing it in a colander for 1/2 hour and blend until smooth using a whisk.

-Add blended Silken Tofu and mix well until smooth. 

-Transfer the mixture in the fridge and cool until set (2 hours is enough, overnight is best for flavor to develop as well!)

-Divide your mixture into bite-sized pieces balls (wet hands make the process easier)

-Roll your balls in the topping of your choice

-Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days
